Memoria ("Memoria", "we", "us") is an app that helps people preserve their life stories through voice recordings and turn them into written keepsakes for their families. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. The app is operated by Memoria Tech Inc..
We built Memoria around a simple idea: your memories are deeply personal, and you should stay in control of them. We do not sell your personal information.

|---|---|
| Usage analytics | Product events such as opening the app, viewing a prompt, playing or editing a memory, and which features you use. These events use identifiers and categories — they do not include the content of your recordings, transcripts, or stories. |
| Device & technical | Device type, operating system, app version, language/region settings, and basic diagnostic information needed to operate the app. |
Memoria uses Google's Gemini API to transcribe your recordings, compose written stories, and detect basic profile details (name, date of birth) from an introduction recording. To do this, your recording audio and/or transcript text is sent to Google for processing.
Google processes this content only to return a result to you, and under the paid Gemini API terms it does not use your content to train or improve its models. We instruct the AI to work only from your recordings and not to invent information. AI output can contain errors — you can review, edit, regenerate, or delete any story before sharing it.
Your account, recordings, transcripts, stories, and photos are stored using Supabase (database and file storage). We use the following service providers ("processors") to operate Memoria. They handle data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Account authentication, database, and storage of recordings, photos, and stories |
| Google (Sign-In & Gemini) | Optional sign-in; AI transcription & composition |
| PostHog | Product usage analytics |
Memoria is operated from, and your data is processed and stored in, the United States. If you use the app from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual recordings, stories, and photos at any time within the app.
You can permanently delete your entire account from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your recordings, transcripts, stories, photos, profile, and feedback from our systems. This action is immediate and cannot be undone. Some information may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
